As an ex-National Level 10 Gymnast, Australian Age Group World Triathlon Representative, lover of all things movement, and Women’s Pelvic Floor Physio – Taryn knows postpartum movement! Whether you are a mother who is wanting to join a social exercise class feeling confident, or a new mama envisioning her next CrossFit Competition, Taryn can support you in your movement and exercise goals. 

There is a tender balance that women need in their approach towards movement and exercise – knowing how far we can push ourselves whilst offering ourselves a sense of ‘responsible restraint’ is often the question women wish to answer. “How much is enough? and How much is too much?”.

Pushing too far too soon can lead to unwanted pelvic health concerns – like Pelvic Organ Prolapse.

Not addressing pelvic floor concerns, like incontinence, can cause women to pull away from movement and exercise, which can lead to overall health risks and continued (or worsening) pelvic floor problems. 

Taryn’s Specialised Movement & Exercise Coaching

Taryn can offer you a personalised assessment of your deep core and pelvic floor and support you in continuing to engage in your chosen sport/exercise class. 

Taryn can teach you how to optimise your body position during exercise to care for your deep core and pelvic floor, offer breathing strategies that support strong pelvic floor function during movement, help you to modify and progress exercise, and employ different strategies that help you to activate (or relax – depending on what is required) your deep core and pelvic floor during movement.

If you have a coach, Taryn is more than willing to collaborate with your coach to optimise your wellbeing and performance. If you are part of a team, or a group, Taryn can offer group tailored group workshops for women.

Note, these sessions are NOT only for women who are new/recent mothers. Women moving through peri-menopause or who are post-menopause often experience changes in pelvic health. Taryn can support you in optimising your pelvic health at any stage of your life journey.
